I was under the impression Seattle didn’t have one, but wanted one. That movie Singles was very misleading. George Patton’s son never managed to convince the guy from Top Gun of the value.

Actually Seattle started to expand the system in the early 2000s but the costs got out of control and the project was cancelled, mostly because of an extremely onerous car tab tax and poor project management. They're just now starting to put in light rail.
